A BDSM slave is very committed to submissive BDSM and lives it as their identity. They are generally in a long-term relationship with their Owner, who is dominant in the relationship. Generally, a slave is in a 24/7 relationship with their dominant and doesn’t deviate from their slave role. 

They may give up their income to their owner, do housework, and have rules and rituals in all aspects of their life, from their schedule to what they can wear. Sometimes, people will use the word slave to refer to anyone who is extremely submissive. It is also common for a dom to promote a sub to a slave after a certain amount of servitude.
